Some must-watch NBA 2010-11 Regular Season playoffs
(11 August 2010/11:58 AM)

Some must-watch NBA 2010-11 games.

Old faces in new places, rivalries to renew and bitter grudge matches.

First of all, season-opening games on October 26, 2010.
Miami Heat against Boston Celtics at Boston (4.30 pm PT)
&
Houston Rockets against Los Angeles Lakers in LA (7.30 pm PT)

Secondly, Miami Heat at Los Angeles Lakers on December 25th

Thirdly, a rematch of the 2010 NBA Finals, Lakers-Celtics game on 31st January in the Staples Center.

Lastly, LeBron James with new Miami squad heads back to Cleveland to challenge fellow Cavaliers mate.

Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics
26th October, 2010

Miami Heat Trio - LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh

Boston Celtics Big Three - Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen

On one side is the "next generation Big Three" with Miami's LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. On the other side is the more veteran "Big Three" of the Celtics with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen.

Will the newly recruited veteran center, 4 times NBA Champions and former Heat member, Shaquille O'neal make a difference in joining the Celtics?

One x-factor in this matchup will be point guard Rajon Rondo, but do the aging Celtics have enough in their legs to keep up with the younger Heat?

We'll find out on opening night, November 11th, February 13th and April 10th just how well these two teams match up against one another.

Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Lakers
26th October, 2010

Kobe Bryant and Yao Ming hugs each other after Lakers' victory over rockets in Game 7 of Western Conference Semi-finals in 2009.

The Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers rivalry shall renew as it begans in the 1980's during the Lakers' "Showtime" era

Trivia
These matchups would provide some of the greatest center showdowns in playoff history such as Shaquille O'neal vs Yao Ming in 2004.

The two teams have only played two decisive games in their playoff history (1981 and 2009).

The Rockets used to be a bad omen for the Lakers. Before the 2009 Playoffs, the Lakers had never won a championship had they faced the Rockets. They could have been eliminated by the Rockets (1981, 1986, and 1996), or they would have lost subsequently after they eliminated the Rockets (1990, 1991, 1999, and 2004). 2009 was the first time ever that they won the NBA championship after facing the Rockets.

Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers
2nd December, 2010

Circle the date and get your popcorn ready for December 2nd because that is when LeBron James returns to Cleveland.

The Cavaliers likely won't put up much of a fight, but NBA fans—and especially Cleveland fans—cannot wait for the Heat to walk on the floor at Quicken Loans Arena.

Miami Heat vs Los Angeles Lakers
25th December, 2010

Heat-Lakers is now the biggest marquee game in the league and will played on Christmas Day. They are the two teams most expect to match-up in the 2011 NBA Finals. It is a game that will feature the three best players in the league and the Heat showing their new might against the two-time defending NBA champions.
The Lakers make their trip to Miami on March 10th.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Boston Celtics
31st January, 2011

Involves the two most storied basketball franchises in NBA history.
The rivalry had been less intense since the retirements of Magic Johnson and Larry Bird in the early 1990s, but in 2008 it was renewed as the Celtics and Lakers met in the Finals for the first time since 1987. The two teams faced off once again in the 2010 NBA Finals which the Lakers won in game 7. The Celtics currently lead in total championships with 17 to the Lakers' 16; together, the two teams' 33 championships account for more than half of the 64 championships in NBA history.

These two teams just went to the last moments of Game 7 of the NBA Finals have enhanced the best rivalry in the NBA. Both teams made necessary tweaks to their roster and look ready for runs deep in their respective conferences. Lakers-Celtics always sells. The Lakers make their return trip to Boston on February 10th
