Above is the 78 groups of participants from all over the world.
3 auditions were held altogether; Taiwan, Beijing & Singapore.
Participants from all over took this audition seriously and put in their best, their efforts weren't washed down the drain, they are now here, in Taiwan's One Million Star VII.
After the 78 groups of participants had an internal PK series, which is 39 rounds of PKs, supposedly to have 39 groups of participants that would proceed to the next round, but the producers had it this way that 5 more participants would make it to the round, based on their potentials.
So adding 5 to 39, that would be 44.
It will then be split into 4 groups of 11, led by 4 masters; 袁惟仁, 黄韵玲, 陈建宁& 黄大炜
Not all 39 groups of participants who won in the PK would guarantee them a slot in these 44 vacancies, so it's still a fair PK system.
After the 4 masters picked their players according to their own criteria, which I'm not sure what it is. Below would be the groupings and I will add some comments beside it if I can remember who the participants are. (According to their performances & overall star's aura)
袁惟仁队
鄭舒尹 (美国) 23 years old, she is the winner of an US singing competition, of which 閻奕格 Janice Yan took part in the 2009's same competition and won. No doubt about her singing skills, but on how well she prepares for the incoming challenges. 陈珂冰 (马来西亚) 22 years old, she came & PK in One Million Star VI whereby she sang 'Saving All My Love For You' and gotten full score of 25. It's very obvious that her English is better than her Mandarin, telling from the way she performed her 2 mandarin songs in the audition were clear to prove. 胡淮浪 (澳洲) 22 yrs old. Not bad, he came to PK in OMS6. 趙治德 17 years old, belongs to the composer-singer type. Way to go. 黃薏庭 19 years old, she participated in both the auditions of Super Idol4 & One Million Star6 in year 2009 and didn't make it through. The way she performs Queen of Pub, 黄小琥's 没那么简单 was superb. But that's about 模仿, where's her own style? 舞思爱 this sweet-looking 21 years old needs to work on her singing, though overall was okay. 洪雪峰 16 years old and currently studying in Taiwan's top girl's school, 北一女中 (wow!).
She was okay in her performance this time, but wasn't as good as expected. Looking forward for her next Mandarin song performance. Most importantly, she looks like 豆花妹! 萬江 (新疆) 26 years old, he and his guitar....okay, very steady. 黃燕玲 No information about her as her performance were cut off -.-" 彭楚茵 (马来西亚) 20 years old.. can't remember much about her.
Yukira (澳洲) If I'm not wrong, she's a Japanese. Well, she appeared in VI but only made it to the Top 48. She can't really sing, maybe Master袁 sees hidden potential within her.

高炜 (北京) 22 years old, I don't think he can make it far. He is one of the 5 who were revived from the 'dead'
Erika (美国) Superb performances by this 18 years old teen, she came to PK in the legend series and got 20 high-score. She will make it far, I'm sure. Well, she participated in the Super Idol5 US-audition and made it through, but she picked OMS7 over that. 簡氾玓 24 yrs old, cool girl. very steady. 童话 (安徽) 21 yrs old, currently studying Russian in some university, her English were superb, better than her Mandarin -.- gosh. Her singing's great, but lack of feelings. 徐庭蔚 No Info. 吳子琁(安徽) 19, singing was considered above average, but not that good. 施旭婧 (上海) 23, she joined via the audition in Singapore, same as above, considered above average but not that good. 王復新 23 years old, his voices don't match his appearance at all. He looked like a giant, like 王复明 in Bodyguards & Assassins 十月围城. Well, his singing was great. Looking forward for his next performance. 蔡憶雯 (马来西亚) 18, nothing much. 賴翔軍 27, was a full-time NSman which retired for 2 months, he can 模仿 Beyond well, but here comes the problem again, where is himself? 鄭盈盈 (马来西亚) 22 yrs old, a pub singer, not bad. looking forward for her next performance as well.
黄大炜队
王雯 (江西) 23, She is the winner of the first season of TVB singing competition, she is a great singer, no doubt about that, but appearance? Being a star is an overall stuff, she has to work on it to be able to shine above others. 常佳寧 (北京) 11 years old and the youngest in this season, she shocked the judges with her singing of 张雨生's 我期待, her way of illustrating it, so pure, great.
But still, she may lack of those life experiences compared to other 'uncles' & 'aunties' so she may lose out at 悲伤与天堂 part. 陈美嬌 (马来西亚) 20, spotted her when she made it through in the Singapore's audition, she's an Indian adopted by a Chinese family, she is comfortable with the language of Mandarin and Hokkien, but knows no Tamil. She is proved to be better in 台语 songs. 許瀚文 (新加坡) 19, from Singapore, bad...he won't make it far. 林培翔 20, he pked away Singapore's 黄业伦 (1st runner-up in Campus Superstar 1). He is humorous enough to have a hobby of hunting. 羅皓尹 No Info. 聶玫 (湖南) 24, saved by Teacher David, she performed Rocker 信乐团's song.. oh my. 林莉 (混血) 20, nothing much except for being a mixed blood. 沙偉平 21, have to work on his pronunciation, cos it's really weird. 孫曉亮 (黑龙江) 28, he is a great singer, no doubt. looking forward for his next performance! 王彬藺 24, his first time making it to so far after 3 failed attempts. But he won't make it far, I think.
陈建宁队
李佳薇 (Jess Lee) (马来西亚) 22 years old, she gotten all first, second & third placings in a Malaysia singing competition. She can sing really very well, but still, same as 王雯, singing isn't the problem. 許惟婷 22, got the looks & can sing pretty well. Looking forward for her next performance as well. 陈廷婷 (新加坡) 28... hmm, *sigh 孟祺馨 (美国) 25, her overall stage feel is better than her singing for sure. She have to really depend on her shocking stage-performances to keep her alive in this competition. 白潮洛蒙 (內蒙古) 22, his 天天想你 of 张雨声 is awesome. Nothing to pick on it so, looking forward for his next performance. 黃如琦 (Bag & guitar girl) 25, I like her the most so far in this season, her feel is the best. She carries her bag with her, plays her guitar, and her appearance just nice belong to my cup of tea, so her feeling is the best, to me. She belongs to those compose-singer, so let's hope that she will become the next Lala, but that would definitely have her appearance changed, so no...
Let's leave it this way, hope that she'll make it far..
Looking forward for her next performance. 鄰家王子 (韩国) From Korea, they had an album already, but wasn't clear about it. Compared to 三帅 of OMS6, they're still far from them but this trio indeed started off better than them for sure. 吳正傑 21, he ended 13th in OMS3, I have a feeling that he won't make it past 31st this time. 魏士翔 26, a pub singer, his singing is considered steady, but nothing much. Won't make it far. 許惟婷 22, not bad... got the looks & voices. Shall see.. 郭丹嬋 (四川) 19, saved by Master陈, I don't see anything great in her. Shall wait & see.. 陈貞元 also known as Taiwan's Chucky... Her appearance is just like Crowd Lu 卢广仲, like wow...
Master陈 used the last & crucial 免死金牌 to revive her, saying that she may turn out to be the next Crowd Lu, as entertainment industry needs people like her.

One Million Star VII may not be as nice as OMS1 and OMSII, but it's still worth watching, to me.

Who knows? The next 'Fatty/小胖', Lin Yu Chun* 林育群 may be among them.
Lin Yu Chun* - He is a Taiwanese singer, who gained fame by appearing on a Taiwanese talent show, One Million Star, singing 'I Will Always Love You' in the style of Whitney Houston's cover version. A video of him singing the song made it onto YouTube and he became an internet celebrity, receiving more than 6,000,000 views of his performance. Many news sources dubbed him "Taiwan's Susan Boyle"
